This year with higher and faster moving water there is a lot of stuff floating down the river. So far I have to weld up 2 aluminum props and was wondering if stainless props take a log better or just a bigger repair bill

well the deal with stell prop is to get better power but if you hit something you risk stripping teeth off of the inurds in your bottom end.
aluminum props are desisigned for this purpose so in turn you will only need prop repair oppsed to gear damage...but if you are hitting wet wood the steel would be good but if rocks are on the menu then i would op with the aluminum.
hope this helps....

I'm only hitting wood.
But both my props are made up of mostly weld now from over the years.
So steel might be the way to go
